Employee Happiness can be as simple as recognition
We ALL want to be recognized for a job well done. Don't you feel good when your clients text you and say "Thank You. I feel so much better after our session." or "Today's class was amazing. Thank you!"
Well your employees need the same from you. You can immediately do some very very very simple ways to give love and therefore increase job satisfaction.
- Put it in your calendar to text one employee a month with something they did or have been doing that's great
- Once a month, bring in breakfast for your staff
- Keep a bunch of Starbucks of Lulu gift cards in your desk and randomly give one out to a staff member as thanks for doing a great job
- Send a Sugarwish when the feeling moves you
Longer term initiatives:
- Offer growth opportunities and sponsor their training in a specialty or professional workshop
- Surprise someone with a paid day off as a birthday gift or anniversary of their employment
- Employee of the Year Award with a plaque on the wall and a cash gift
Sometimes keeping our Team happy can be simpler than we think. And in a day of challenging employee retention stats, every little bit helps.
